Prices are per month and renew until cancelled. Pickup in Decatur is included; shipping is billed at cost plus a $6 handling fee. Turnaround targets begin once your file passes validation and any overage is approved.

Materials

Every material is included. None of them change your allowance.

The allowance counts build plates, so choosing carbon-fibre nylon over PLA does not quietly cost you more of it. What a harder material does cost is time — it runs slower, so a long part in a slow material is likelier to run past your level’s plate window and count as two.

Before you approve any job you see the estimated machine hours, how many plates that comes to at your level, and what is left afterwards.

Why plates and not weight

A machine held all day costs the same, whatever came off it.

Six printers tied up for twelve hours is the same cost to this shop whether they produced 200 g or 4 kg. A big order can be finished in a day and still use a week of capacity. Weight cannot see that, so the allowance counts plates: one build, on one machine, up to the hours your level publishes. A longer run holds the machine for more than one plate’s worth of time, so it counts as more than one.

It is also the whole reason Bench exists at $29. Bench parts are nested with other members' parts onto a shared plate and run overnight, when the machines would otherwise be idle. That batching is what makes the price possible — so Bench parts are collected from the self-service shelf, without individual bagging or white-glove inspection.

Supports, brims, rafts and purge material all count toward actual material usage — they are material the machine really used. Allowances cover printing, not assembly, sanding, painting or complex post-processing unless that is specifically included in writing.

Bench overage stays in the shared off-peak queue. Extra plate charges represent extra shared-plate submissions; exclusive use of a build plate, or a faster turnaround, is quoted separately.

These are illustrations, not customers. Nobody has joined the club yet, so there are no member stories to tell — what follows is the same arithmetic the calculator above runs, on two jobs that would be typical.

Bench works here because the shared plate, off-peak production and self-service pickup are all acceptable. Somebody who needs the parts tomorrow would be on a faster level.

No saving is claimed here — at this volume the value is the turnaround and the queue position, not the cost of the plastic.

Points expire after twelve months without an active membership. They have no cash value, and they cannot buy the build plates a level includes or production priority — queue position is a paid feature of the level, not something status can win.

Plates are the unit. Here is what one holds.

A print shop sells machine time, not material — six machines tied up for twelve hours costs the same whether that is 200 g or 4 kg. So membership is priced in build plates, and this works out how many you would need.

Iterate includes 7 plates of up to 48 hours at $249 a month. Bought one plate at a time that work is about $600.

Typical estimate — not a production quote. How many parts nest on a plate depends on footprint, orientation and supports, not weight, so these are ranges from reference parts at a standard PLA profile. Tall parts, supports and unusual geometry all reduce what fits.

The rules, in the open

Everything that could surprise you later.

Allowances expire monthlyYour monthly build plates expire at the end of each billing period and do not roll over. Capacity is a month of machine time, and an unused month cannot be stored — keeping it available to current-month members is what makes the production targets achievable.

Overage is approved firstNothing prints on an unapproved overage. You see the figure and say yes or no.

Turnaround starts after approvalThe clock begins when your file passes validation and any overage is approved — not when the email arrives. Targets, unless a written agreement says otherwise.

Our failures are oursA print that fails because of our workmanship is re-run and does not touch your allowance. A failure caused by a defective supplied file may consume the material and time it used, and we say so before you approve.

File work is not includedExcept the one hour a month on Priority and Dedicated. Inspection is always free; repairs start at $15; anything larger is quoted first.

Dedicated · reserved capacity

Reserved capacity begins with a production review.

Send your expected parts, materials, monthly volume and deadlines and we will put an initial capacity recommendation in your account. Nobody is charged $1,499 a month before we have both agreed what the capacity is for, and we will say honestly whether reserved capacity is the right answer or whether a smaller level covers it. Carry on in writing, or ask for a call if you would rather.

Upgrading takes effect on your next billing month, and we will tell you when your usage says you should — including when it says you should move down.

Before you join.

What counts as a plate?

A plate is one build on one machine. What a print shop actually sells is machine time — six machines tied up for twelve hours costs the same whether that is 200 g or 4 kg — so the allowance is plates, not weight. Each level publishes a maximum length per plate; a run longer than that simply counts as more than one plate. You see the plate count before you approve any job.

Why is a long print more than one plate?

Because a plate is a block of machine time, and a long run holds the machine for more than one block. Each level publishes a maximum length per plate — 24 hours on Studio, 48 on Iterate — so a 30-hour run on Studio counts as two plates. It is the same rule applied consistently, and you see the plate count before you approve anything.

What happens if I go over my allowance?

We quote it and you approve it before anything is printed. Extra plates are $25 each, or $30 on Bench because an extra plate there means pulling work out of the shared batch that makes $29 possible. Nothing prints on an unapproved overage.

Does my allowance roll over?

Monthly material and plate allowances expire at the end of each billing period and do not roll over. This keeps current-month production capacity available to current-month members.

Is CAD or file design included?

No, except for the one hour a month included with Priority and Dedicated. We inspect every file free and tell you whether it prints. Repairs start at $15, and anything larger is quoted at our file-creation rate before we begin. We never start paid file work without your approval.

What if a print fails?

A failure caused by our workmanship does not touch your allowance — we run it again. A failure caused by a defective supplied file may consume the material and machine time it used, and we tell you that before you approve the job.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Membership renews monthly until you cancel, and cancelling stops the next renewal — you keep the month you have already paid for. Annual terms are arranged in writing rather than sold by button, because the Terms define monthly billing and nothing else yet.
