Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and what we never do with it.
What we collect
What you give us: your name, phone, email, company, project details, and any files or photos you upload. What we record automatically: pages visited, how you arrived (referrer or campaign), device type, and a session identifier, used to understand which channels bring us work.
Why we collect it
To quote your job, do the work, invoice you, keep in touch about your order, and understand which of our own marketing efforts actually work. We do not sell your data. We do not buy data about you.
Payments
We do not store card numbers. Card payments are handled by Stripe, and digital file purchases by Gumroad, each on their own systems under their own privacy terms. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, not your card details.
Your files
Files you upload are stored privately. They are not public, not indexed, and not shared. We keep them so reorders do not start from scratch. Ask us and we will delete them.
Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of first-party cookies. One remembers how you first found us so we can credit the right channel; the rest keep the site working. If you accept analytics cookies we also load Google Analytics, which is a third-party service run by Google and sets its own cookies; choosing essential-only means it is never loaded. We do not run advertising networks and we do not sell your data. See the Cookies page, and you can decline non-essential cookies there or in the banner.
Text messages
If you opt in to text updates, we use your number only for messages about your job or membership. Reply STOP to end it. Message and data rates may apply.
Who else sees it
Only the people who need to in order to run your job, plus the services we run the business on (hosting, database, payments, notifications). Where a job is partner-fulfilled we share only what the partner needs to produce it.
How long we keep it
Job records and invoices are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Analytics data is kept in aggregate. You can ask us to delete your contact record and files at any time.
Your choices
Ask us what we hold about you, ask for a correction, ask for deletion, or opt out of marketing, by emailing apply@bookoshin.com. If you are in a place with additional data rights, such as the EU/UK or California, we will honour requests under those rules.
Children
Our services are not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes we will post the new version here with its date.
