How to press
Settings for our transfers.
- Cotton and blends
- 300–315°F for 12–15 seconds
- Polyester
- 280–290°F for 10–12 seconds
- Pressure
- Medium to firm
- Peel
- Hot, in one smooth pull
- Finish
- Press again for 5–10 seconds under parchment or a Teflon sheet
- Pre-press the garment for 3–5 seconds first to take out moisture and wrinkles.
- Wait 24 hours before the first wash.
- Check every transfer before you press it. Once it is pressed on your own equipment, the result is yours.
Before you print
A few things that matter.
What does a sheet cost?
Choose a 14 in sheet (12 to 23 in long) or a 22 in roll (up to 200 in), and the length you want; it is priced by the inch of length, 12 in minimum. The price shows as you build, before you pay. Heat-transfer paper sheets are priced by the inch of length too, at a rate for each sheet width: full sheets count whole, and the last one only as far as your designs go.
Can I upload a gang sheet I already made?
Yes. Drop the finished sheet as one file and it prints at its own size, worked out from its pixels at 300 DPI: a file 6,600 pixels wide is 22 in. Transparent edges are trimmed, so check the size shown beside it before you pay. A sheet wider than the roll is brought in to fit it.
What artwork should I upload?
Use a clear image with a transparent background (PNG), sized for the print you want. For the sharpest result, use 300 DPI: enough image detail to stay clear at that print size. JPG and WebP also work, but their background prints too. SVG works directly. Save PDF, PSD, AI or EPS artwork as a PNG first. The builder warns you if a picture may look blurry when printed.
Can I repeat and mix designs?
Yes. Add up to 40 designs, give each a width (the height follows) and a number of copies, and Auto build places them all, turning a design a quarter when that saves length. Select a copy to move, resize, turn or delete it, or use Fill sheet to repeat it into the space that is left. Add Text makes a design from your own words.
When will it be ready?
The ready date shows under the price before you pay and grows with the size of the order. Need it sooner? The rush option appears under the price when the schedule has room.
What if a transfer is misprinted?
Check your transfers when you collect them, before you press them. We reprint only a print defect on our side: a missing or wrong color, a smudge, or a design, size or quantity that does not match the sheet you paid for.
To claim, email bookoshin@gmail.com or call (727) 641-9774 within 7 days of pickup or delivery, with your order number and clear photos of the unpressed transfers. Keep them as they are: we may ask to see them before we decide.
Not covered: transfers pressed on your own equipment, a file we warned you about (resolution, background or size) that you went ahead with, the sheet exactly as you built and approved it, and variation within normal print tolerances. The full terms are in our limited warranty.
Am I ordering shirts?
No, this is transfers only: you press them with your own heat press. For a printed garment, put your art on a shirt instead.
